Whoops... Ephraim, gets high marks while the Egg gets spanked.

Journal Sentinel travel columnist, Dennis McCann answers questions about Wisconsin places, history and folklore in his monthly chat. Following is an excerpt from the May transcript posted on-line today:
Q: Jason of Brookfield - Dennis: What's your favorite place to stay when in Door County?

A: Dennis McCann - That's a hard question, because there are lots of nice places. A few weeks ago I stayed at the hotel near the entrance to Peninsula Park (the Homestead, I think) and found it to be very nice. I've had nice stays at Hotel du Nord, the White Gull Inn (a very nice place, btw) and a number of other places. But my favorite community to spend time in is Ephraim, because it hasn't spoiled its natural beauty the way some other villages (are you listening, Egg Harbor?) have. There are a number of nice places there, but the Lodgings at Pioneer Lane has worked well for me on several different occasions. Thanks for all the questions. Happy travels.
